Similar to many private mental health practitioners in the Netherlands, I do not have contracts with insurance providers. This means you must cover the cost of the sessions and seek potential reimbursement from your insurance company.

Yes, I offer discounts for therapy services for the following groups: displaced and marginalized people (e.g., refugees, human trafficking survivors, etc.), individuals who have recently left a domestically abusive relationship, and individuals who have been waitlisted longer than three months to start therapy with another mental health service.

Narrative Therapy is a form of psychotherapy that seeks to help clients identify their values and the skills associated with them. It is focused on re-authoring identity and thus, clarifying your sense of purpose and resilience.
Narrative Exposure Therapy is a structured short-term psychotherapy for treating post-traumatic stress, especially for clients who suffer from multiple and complex trauma. It involves creating a chronological narrative of the client’s life to contextualize traumatic memories. -
The Netherlands, like many places, is facing a mental health crisis.
Waitlists for insurance-sponsored care can be months long. In time many clients spend waiting for care, they tend to have more problems pile up. Insurance-sponsored psychologists may take months to simply provide a diagnosis, which further delays starting treatment.
Shorter (or no) waitlists, improved communication, more productive sessions, more flexible treatment plans, and a greater sense of understanding and empathy are reasons that foreigners in the Netherlands have stated that they have chosen private care expat psychologists. -

You should only engage with mental health services if you want to. Most often, clients I see in individual therapy for relationship problems have decided to enter therapy after their relationship has ended.
If you feel you need help, but you are unsure if therapy is right for you, please contact me for a free phone consultation. I also offer Couple Support. See my Services page for more information. -
